both sides now

I've been thinking a lot about the stories we tell and how we tell them.

It's a matter of perspective really, who is sharing the details and how. If I were to tell you a story, how I felt wronged and such, you'd probably say,

'that so and so is a real turd to have done X,Y and Z'

And if that same person, the one we were just calling a turd were telling the same story, and it's the first thing you've heard about it you might think,

'Kristen is a real turd to have done X, Y and Z'

There are always two sides to every story and it can feel like a great injustice when you feel as though you haven't been heard.

Which is ironic because in most instances it doesn't matter whose right or wrong. What matters is the outcome; what happens on the other side.

This message from the universe today says it all:

the past is simply what you choose to remember, if you even choose to remember it.
