yesterday

I remember last year, (and the fifteen years before that), on the east coast, March would come and in my heart I'd be thinking 'spring', but the reality is, March is fickle. There have been many, substantial snowstorms during the month of March, particularly memorable after our girl was born; her birthday is at the end of the month and we always had a back-up plan for the parties because of the weather.
Not anymore. February was my kind of perfect winter weather. A nip in the air, but almost always blue skies. That sunny everyday does wonders for a girl prone to the blues.
Speaking of our girl, the divine miss A zooms towards double digits. Ten.
It's funny, our child getting older. The myth that I once believed, that once A was older, I'd have more time. Quite the contrary. I'm fairly certain I'll want and need to be around consistently and often as we navigate our way towards teen.
Indeed, I'm one lucky lady.
