We have a new member of our family. A sweet puppy doodle, literally. A 10 week old mini, (although I don't know if he's going to be so mini), Aussiedoodle and it's like having a newborn again.
I haven't had a pet in 12 years. When my cat Herschel had to be put down, we decided to take a break with furry friends, and not having that responsibility was really nice. Because let's face it: traveling is a challenge when you have a four-legged member of the family.
He's been here just about 48 hours and so far, we're smitten. I'm sure I'll be less smitten as house breaking continues. But then he's so scrumptious with his little stocky Aussie body, and soft, naturally curly, sticking out hair.
Much like babies, puppies are made with extra cuteness, so you don't throw up your hands in exhausted frustration and give up.
To be continued.

maybe he has been worth the 12 year wait :)
