I like to remind myself when I'm feeling like I'm stagnant and not doing much other than the same ol' thing, that I do get out and about.
This week I...
- Taught my last art lesson in A's 6th grade 2nd period class.
- Done and done.
- I saw Bat for Lashes, (fantastic),
- and Josh Tillman, on the bill as himself, but performing as Father John Misty. (He was so, so good!!!)
- I went to the Brewery Art walk, which I've wanted to go to forever.
- A biannual, open studio weekend in the old PBR brewery, full of amazing converted live/work spaces.
- There was some good art, but I was more interested in the living spaces.
- I think the highlight of the afternoon was seeing Angel looking exactly like his character, so that was exciting.
- I probably won't go again.
- I walked along the beach, something I haven't done in awhile. (Which is sort of shameful because it's right there.)
- I had lunch with an old friend from college,
- and I saw a friend from high school, someone I actually wanted to run into.
And now, today, I'm ready to rest. I guess it's a sign of aging that even without booze, I can feel hungover from too many late nights in a week.
I hope your weekend was a good one!
