I have to remind myself that it's June, that we're leaving for NYC in three weeks and that school is almost over. I keep thinking I have a few weeks before I have to plan all that. And then I make a follow-up appointment and it's July and I think, how is that possible?
I'm excited that we're traveling at the beginning of the month this summer instead of the last. It will be nice to laze around here, taking advantage of our close proximity to the beach, no plans necessary.

We've been getting shit done around here, and next on the list is the shit hole storage area under the house, combined with getting plants and cushions in order for the back patio.
I've finally decided on what to plant into containers along our wrought iron fence. I want plants that vine and attract flying friends. I want color and fragrance and I want easy. I'm settled on honeysuckle and mandevilla, now I need to decide on the containers.

I finally acquired a long wished for camera lens and I'm looking forward to shooting NYC with a new perspective. Of course I won't want to leave behind all film options, I think I'll bring along my SX70. Compact, and easy to travel with, and of course, it's a workhorse.

The mister is grilling dinner and I'm ravenous. I've started working out earnestly and my metabolism is definitely not in sync with my appetite. Lately I've become accustomed to and comfortable with being a little hungry. It's easier than my previous OS of stuffing myself, and I feel better overall.

I love the idea of lazing around near the beach, with little to no plans. Lucky, lucky.
