- So Serial. So good, yeah?
- I'm probably the VERY last person to jump into podcast listening. I just didn't get it until Serial, and now I'm hooked.
- Podcasts are great to listen to while I walk the dog, and when Howard is not on the air. Duh.
- I love The Nerdist and the classic This American Life, but it's Alec Baldwin and Here's The Thing that I'm completely obsessed with.
- After mentioning that I'd loved Serial, a friend recommended the series The Fall, and I gladly jumped on.
- I took a western herbalism workshop yesterday, no. 72 on my list.
- We went to the San Bernadino National park, (which I didn't even know existed), to harvest Alder, in a grove, down by the river.*
- We sat in a grove of Alders that formed a wee circle big enough for the group of us, (10 in total), right next to the water.
- It was cool, even though the air temp was warm, and it was a great day.
- The water was lovely to wade into, although whenever I'm in mountain water I think of this state board question that goes something like this: You're hiking all afternoon and the sun is hot. You come across a river, the water is moving, it looks fresh and you take a drink. Two days later you have diarrhea. What did you get from the water in the mountains?**
- And I now have a jar of Alder tincture in the cabinet that will be ready in 5 weeks.
