seven

1. So Serial. So good, yeah? 
2. I'm probably the VERY last person to jump into podcast listening. I just didn't get it until Serial, and now I'm hooked.
3. Podcasts are great to listen to while I walk the dog, and when Howard is not on the air. Duh.
4. I love The Nerdist and the classic This American Life, but  it's Alec Baldwin and Here's The Thing that I'm completely obsessed with.
5. After mentioning that I'd loved Serial, a friend recommended the series The Fall, and I gladly jumped on.
6. I took a western herbalism workshop yesterday, no. 72 on my list.
7. We went to the San Bernadino National park, (which I didn't even know existed), to harvest Alder, in a grove, down by the river.*
8. We sat in a grove of Alders that formed a wee circle big enough for the group of us, (10 in total), right next to the water.
9. It was cool, even though the air temp was warm, and it was a great day. 
10. The water was lovely to wade into, although whenever I'm in mountain water I think of this state board question that goes something like this: You're hiking all afternoon and the sun is hot. You come across a river, the water is moving, it looks fresh and you take a drink. Two days later you have diarrhea. What did you get from the water in the mountains?** 
11. And I now have a jar of Alder tincture in the cabinet that will be ready in 5 weeks. 

*Down by the river...always makes me think of this and then I laugh.
