It was time to get a new mascara. I chose purple this time, I like it for summer when I don't want to wear much more than mascara and lipstick.
My makeup has become spare and it's perfect for me and my lifestyle right now. My current kit consists of mascara, (purple for summer, black the rest of the time), and two, different shades of neutral eyeshadow. I like a little shimmer in my powder blush, and I have two lipsticks. Lipgloss on me reminds me of her, and I don't like flavored anything, so this is my only other lippy.
This amazing concealer doesn't cake in the creases, and I like this loose powder because it gives a little more coverage, and it comes in a tiny travel size.
My hair lady used this on my hair and it's good. It seems to manage the constant frizz I maintain here in drought stricken L.A. and I like that it's a drugstore item.
Same with these moisturizers that I thought I'd ditch after my derm recommended this brand, known for their stellar sunblock products. My skin did not agree and a siege took place. Fact: wrinkles + acne is not a good look. Once I realized what was happening, I went back to what worked,(duh), and thankfully mypizza face has calmed down.
Skin care has become a whole new 'thing' now that I'm 50. There's wrinkles and acne, both victims of jacked hormones, and sweating as I do during spin doesn't help.
It seems like the current arsenal is working; a combination of simple products that work like a boss, probably because they aren't organic. I tried to be more green, and my skin suffered. Some battles, (especially when you're vain), aren't worth fighting.
