list no. 9 :: in a week

1. Howard is almost potty-trained. 
2. And now that I've said it, I'm certain to find a pile of poo somewhere.
3. I saw Patti Smith open for Morrissey.
4. What a fun show!
5. I love Morrissey and The Smiths, even more now that I saw him like an ant on the stage, far below my seat in nosebleed.
6. Definitely recognizing that I'm in a creative slump, and reading somewhere that creative slumps are a safe place to stay.
7. I hadn't thought of that before.
8. I bought some cute gladiator sandals on super sale because I chose red instead of the black I've been coveting.
9. Really glad for the choice, (even if I was being thrifty), because they're more of a tomato/rusty red.
10. A much better addition to my wardrobe, as I always choose black.
11. The only colored footwear I owned prior to these sandals was of the sneaker variety, and even then, I'm fairly subdued.
12. Until I bought these. 
13. Miss A's BFF and mom* arrived Friday morning for a long weekend. Our kid is jacked on overdrive.
14. I'm sure tomorrow afternoon will be a shit show around here. 
15. But that's for next week. 

*we knew C's parents long before we had kids when we all lived in NYC. we lost touch with each other and years later when we moved to the suburbs, they lived on the same street, same address, south, and we were north. once we connected again and our toddler girls met, they became fast friends and have been besties ever since.
