All the music we heard this weekend, compiled into a simultaneously brief and lengthy list.
- Haim | I saw them last year at ACL and liked them more.
- Jagwar Ma | They've got a great sound.
- Kate Nash | I've seen her before, she's definitely changed her sound/look/band and I'm not as much a fan.
- Aloe Blacc | Yeee-hah!
- Neko Case | The second time I've seen her perform, this was an awesome set.
- Broken Bells | James Mercer can do no wrong. Ah-mazing.
- Replacements | Shockingly sloppy, including forgotten lyrics, and yet, totally charming.
- Foxygen | Fuck yeah!
- Ty Segall | Rocked the fucking face off of the Outdoor stage.
- Churches | Meh.
- Temples | I liked them, the mister did not.
- Bombay Bicycle Club | So. Good. I didn't much like them before Coachella, but I was wrong.
- Mr. Julian Casablancas | Ohai. Can't go wrong there...
- Capital Cities | I don't like them on the radio but they make a great live show.
- Future Islands | Phantom of the Opera meets Gwar. I'm not even kidding, and we loved every minute of them.
- RL Grime | One of the best DJ's of the weekend. The energy was palpable.
- Pixies | Disappointing.
- Lorde | Wow, wow, wow. Wow.
- Queens of the Stone Age | FTW!!! Third time's the charm - they rocked the main stage like no one's business.
- Pharrell Williams | Such a great sound, too bad it was SO packed we couldn't even see him.
- Frank Turner | A total surprise, we walked into his show because it was in a tent and shady and he was a lot of fun.
- Superchunk | Boo.
- Blood Orange | Dreamy.
- Neutral Milk Hotel | Double boo.
- Calvin Harris | Oh. My. God. I've never seen a crowd dance like that and it was fun to be right in the thick of it, which is not like me at all.
