notes on life : planetary babbling

Some people will get all up in Mercury going retrograde and others say that one shouldn't always blame Mercury.

I'm not naming any names, but it has been quite a week. The sewer line backed up into A's bathtub Tuesday morning when I took a shower, causing the toilets on the main floor to bubble, (of course Howard was scared of the watery sounds), and a bit of panic as we were familiar with this road.

Back on the east coast, our sewer line often backed up into the basement because of roots invading the old, clay pipes that linked our house to the city. We don't have any trees, or anything growing outside of a pot, (the previous owners slated everything into patios much to my dismay), but our close proximity neighbors do.

We do have a good plumber here, (a good electrician too), and the good news was it was a relatively easy clean out. There's a clean out line in the garage, which is awesome because he didn't have to take out a toilet, but not so great when the plumber didn't tell me to move our things in the garage far away, and when he popped the lid on the line everything that had been backed up rushed out.

You get the poopy picture. Let's just say that there was a lot of bleach, those stinky air-freshening plug-in things and a lot of throwing things away.

I had a woman step over me to shorten her walk at the gas station, exclaiming, "I said excuse me..." when I said 'wow'.

I started lifting weights again. I hate my ghetto gym and have recently stocked a variety of weights, (10 lb. and under), so I can lift here at home. Much like the sad, old workout clothes I recently got rid of, the atmosphere in this gym for me has been a downer, unless I'm awake at 4am, (which thankfully, lately, I haven't been), than the gym is useless for me. Home gym to ensue.

My car is ready this evening after being in the shop from its recent rear-ending, and I have my first ride of the week that I'm looking forward to. I'm ready to leave the crap behind, and focus on the light ahead.
