one

  1. Still with the documentaries, this one was super interesting. 
  2. Documentaries are super easy to watch while I'm scanning and/or editing photos. 
  3. This one was so inspiring! I watched while I slowly worked on my very neglected website. 
  4. For a very long time, I've needed to go back and put my old work into some sort of semblance and I've sat on my thumbs this project long enough. 
  5. The truth behind my motivation is that I want my website to look decent when I go to my portfolio review this spring.
  6. I finally got back to spin class yesterday and my body feels good. I'm slightly sore, but I'm not hurting. 
  7. I'm really proud of myself for breaking my decades old habit of falling off of an exercise routine when life gets busy. 
  8. I didn't ride for 15 days and I missed my fix.
  9. Yesterday I realized that I feel such joy when I'm clipped onto my bike. Setting my intention for the ride, my brain dumped of its clutter, (even temporarily), the music and the collective energy of the riders around me... it is palpable and I soak it all in.
  10. And afterwards, when I've made it through the runs and jumps and I've stayed on beat, I'm proud of my strength and my ability to follow my breathe.
  11. Even though I rarely see her, (it's how our friendship works), I am forever grateful to my friend for taking me to my first class; giving me a gift that allowed me to honor myself in a way I didn't know I wanted or needed.

  13. My peeps had an amazing time in Japan, even if M came back with a man flu a cold.
  14. It has been super cold here in L.A., proving that my blood has thinned and I'm not much of a NYer anymore. 
  15. I want to watch this film
  16. I'm looking forward to the nutribullet arriving early next week. Our POS blender died and I've been missing my smoothie fix. Until we can decide on one of the big guns this baby will take its place, and not a moment too soon. 
  17. Protein smoothies are my favorite pre-spin meal in the evening.
  18. It's always a 'thing' for me to figure out the perfect combination of timing + food to eat before spin.

  1. It felt so good to run again yesterday, even though I did twist my stoopid ankle. Enjoy your Nutribullet. I don't know what I'd do without mine.
