I haven't done a check-in with the list in awhile, and sometimes sharing is easier in a list, sort of gets to the point and keeps me on task.
- The novel devouring has continued, something I'll never complain about.
- I read my first book on M's new Kindle, a perfect addition to streamlining travel.
- It felt like a few pages might have been skipped, but I didn't take note of pages to see what was missing, because I'm sure the page numbering is different electronically. Right?
- The Light Between Oceans was a beautifully written story, one that stays with you.
- And then I read this one, which also lingers, but in a very different way.
- Now I'm onto this series, because I need an intensity that comes from a different source than my heart.
- I'm going to San Francisco next week, and then London very soon after that.
- PDX in early November for a long weekend.
- And we're doing a family vacation through the southwest for the holidays.
- I hurt my hip working out last week, an indication to slow down; continuing to exercise with consistency and frequency, but maybe I don't have to stretch the deepest or hold the longest.
- I'm continually learning that I don't have to be competitive with myself.
- My girl starts middle school tomorrow and it's a whole lot of changes in this house, (shavingcoughshaving), as she grows into a little lady at a rapid rate before my eyes.
- I stifle my inner sighs and shocks, and think that all of this came so fast.
- It always does.
- Our party was awesome because we have amazing friends who helped us when it got hairy.
- We bought too much food because quite a few people who said they'd come couldn't, and most of them didn't even let us know.
- I made M double pinky swear that dinner parties in the future will be small and any big parties we think we'd like to have are forever more, cocktails and heavy appetizers. The end.

FYI, George R.R. Martin lives in Santa Fe. Apparently his mailbox is a castle.
ReplyDeleteYou're coming to London. How cool is that :D
ReplyDeleteYou don't, by any chance, have a lay over in Amsterdam right? ;-)
I wish Silvia! I love Amsterdam, but this trip is just London, (ha, just!), although I do harbor thoughts of a day trip to Paris...
