I'm home. Friends, it was an amazing vacation with the right combination of everything: down time to relax; things to see; extraordinary people watching, and of course good company and friends.
Flying to Europe from California is long. It makes perfect sense why many Californians haven't been to Europe, and I'm grateful for having lived on the east coast and for all the times we traveled before miss A.
International travel is nothing like domestic and thank the powers that be for that. The seats are still crammed, the people sitting behind will still pull your seat like a sling shot to propel themselves up and out of their seat, but food and whatever you want to watch are free.
Even with a bit of sleep, there's still a lot of time to kill and I took advantage of a wide range of choices and caught up on films I missed over the past year.
