list no. 44 :: in a word

Shoreditch, London. Olympus OM-2/Kodak Porta 400 film.

I joked with Leonie that I would return home with a British accent. And while it's no secret that I can be a bit of an Anglophile, I especially love the way the British, (and all of the UK for that matter), speak.

Obvi the accent is charming, but the vernacular delights me because unlike American English, there isn't this need for extra adjectives. There is a way with words that is direct and to the point.  And they also have a way to my heart with expletives.

In no particular order, here are my favorites:

  1. Right
  2. Quite
  3. Alight
  4. Mooch
  5. Strop
  6. Snog
