It was pretty obvious that I'd messed up my numbering when I looked at my cumulative posts and saw that this week was no. 50. And there's three weeks left, which has nothing to do with it being a Leap Year and everything to do with jet lag, (screwed up the numbering the week I returned from London).
Turns out I forgot week no. 39, so I will instead do another no. 49

- Instead of lamenting the streak of early rising, (also called insomnia), I've come to love my early morning drives about town; down to the beach and the park, I love hearing the crashing waves, and I love the fog hovering below the blanket of trees.
- I also love the super-hot coffee that I usually pick up along the way.
- We're thinking about getting a dog, which means I think I'm finally ok with what that will mean, because the majority of training, care, etc. will be mine.
- I found a new Kind Bar - dark chocolate, nut and sea salt. It really is the perfect afternoon snack, (I gravitate towards sweet over savory).
- I thought I was getting these, but instead these came, labeled 'Scottish', which I don't know what difference that makes, except these tasted old even though they weren't expired, leading me to believe that they'd been on a shelf for a very long time.
- Miss A asked very innocently, "mama, why would you buy food online?" And she's right, why indeed?
- I'm loving this book. It's a very compelling story line and I'm curious to see how it turns out.
- And look forward to seeing the movie afterwards.
- Hannukah starts in five days and we'll be gone for Christmas so we're not decorating this year, much to miss A's dismay.
- I did finally string twinkle lights around the railing on the front and back terraces and they look so pretty. They will definitely stay long after the holidays are over.
- I've finally shot my way through my Impossible stash and have four, remaining packs of expired 600 film that I plan to shoot on our road trip vacation.
- It feels good to both shoot through my
hoardstash, and also not feel a tendency to stockpile what's left of my 600 film because the new film is so, so good.
I am a big fan of Kind protein bars - I forget the combo - so I am going to have to look for this one. Looks amazing. And something I might need on the plane. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I would get up earlier...I wake up but instead of getting up, I think about my dreams. Dreams that I've had in my sleep. Perhaps if I had the ocean, I would actually get up!
i love the little things...
