1. Today is my birthday and I'm glad it's here. I've had so much thought and emotion attached to turning 50, that I'm glad I don't have to wonder what it's like.
2. I've had a good day with lovely presents, (my girl bought me some great clothes from Anthro), and we're having a family dinner tonight. 
3. It's exactly what I wanted for my day.
4. I also had a car wash and a pedicure and then the bonus of lunch out with my neighbor.
5. Speaking of pedicures, I've been digging these better-for-you nail polishes for sometime now. 
6. For my last pedi I chose red. For years red was my go-to color of choice.
7. I'm not digging red polish on me anymore, even though I love it on everyone else. 
8. This isn't the first time I've felt this way with red, but I've largely tried to ignore the sentiment as red for lippie and pedis have long been a staple. 
9. Some things don't change because I still love glitter.
10. I'm looking forward to watching this movie. 
11. And this one too.
12. This is amazing! And natural! 
13. What else can I tell you...it's hotter than Hades here. We're in a severe drought, (with huge fines if you abuse water), and it's fucking humid. 
14. Like east coast humid.
15. I've heard rumors of El Nino this year, but seems less likely now. We need rain. Badly.
