Thursday, 5:01pm

The heat finally broke and now, the fog, is a welcome relief.

It has been busy here as we settle into the school year routine. Our girl doesn't want to hear from us about her homework. She is 'handling it' and she 'has it under control', and I believe it's true.

I think she was so tired of our incessant questions, (in true teenage fashion), and while I wish I could say that the nagging was part of the plan, but it was not.

I'm looking forward to spin tonight. Its been a week since I rode last and I'm ready for the brain dump that happens when I'm in that dark room. I normally don't like there to be so many days in between classes, but schedules have been busy here and it is what it is. (Honestly, I'm just grateful that I get to go ride each week and will take whatever I can get, gladly!!)

We have a busy weekend planned, followed by a busy week, and then my show next Friday. I had my eyes opened last night at a photo event by a friend, who brought my attention to something I'll talk about later, once it's processed. She gave me a gift with her comment and I'm still thinking heavily about it.

I'm also thinking of boots and sweaters, soup, (isn't everyone?), and shorter days. I'm longing for cool weather, marine layers and coastal fog.

I hope in your world Fall has come. And if you live in those parts that are awakening with Spring, than I hope it's glorious too.
