You know how you know something for awhile, and then the reality of it dawns on you?
It's very real that in less than 48 hours, my little family boards an airplane for nine days in Japan. The trip has been planned for a couple of months and talked about in that abstract way that happens before a journey but it still feels almost surprising that it's finally here.
At first I had a sense of what I wanted to do while they were gone. And of course in very typical fashion, I've scratched all of those plans for some very real down time.
I've decided against the obvious of extra spin classes, and instead I see myself spending a lot of time here at home. There's our woofer to attend to. After all, he's part of the reason I'm not traveling this year.
I have to finish SOA. Seriously, you think you've seen it all and then you're deeper into the series and it's 'holy fuck'. I will watch a movie or two, likely something light after SAMCRO.
I have a hair appointment. I have a 60 minute massage. And on the 26th, I have a friend arriving for a long weekend, leaving the evening of the day my peeps arrive home.
We have nothing planned for New Years Eve. I suspect serious jet lag for my family, and I am digging the quiet that is playing out.

I like the way this year is ending.
It all sounds wonderful. Enjoy x
