in a ny minute

I was in a silent snit about my carry-on bag for NYC, loath to complain to a man that carries very little and does so with a backpack; an item I resist and then ultimately end up returning to.

Yes, my cute and heavy LL Bean canvas polka weekender tote holds everything and then some, and yet remains remarkably flat allowing for a nice fit under the tightest of seats, (Delta and American are some of the stingiest on foot room), but my bag was HEAVY. It's a nuisance to get the tech things out for security scans and setting the bag onto the floor of public bathrooms is a necessity and ultimately skeevy, the only remedy a scalding wash after every trip.

I am determined to lighten my load, with the travel I have coming this fall. I don't think I have it in me to carry on my luggage, (it's a product thing), but there is room to skim so I can carry all my crap without huffing and puffing around the airport, harried  and flustered.

Which is a long, round about way to share some photos I took with my phone because my camera bag was heavy, I've shot NYC a lot with my digital camera and in polaroid, and my camera phone is really good. And it doesn't weigh a thing.
