third time is the charm

I was posting my daily photo on Flickr this morning, when a contact photo caught my eye. Total honest admission here, most days I have to stay off flickr because it's a button pusher for me. I don't need to go into the gist of what sets me off, but I've learned the hard way to step away from that which annoys me.

The photo that caught my eye had a long synopsis of feelings regarding photography and this especially stood out: 

There are loads of pretty photos. Some nice light, a good subject, maybe some old-timey camera, and you got yourself a pretty picture.

Everybody can take a pretty picture. Maybe it's worth trying to contribute something different.

And realized that while I'm not the only one that feels annoyed on flickr, I'm definitely not ballsy enough to say what I really think.

A second nudge from the universe of late, the message here is that I talk a good game, sometimes I even pull em' up and walk the walk, but I'd like sometimes to be all of the time, and I can do that without snark and alienation.
