1. Deep in a mini marathon watching Sons of Anarchy. Always late to the game, I am digging this show. 
2. Speaking of always, I always, always, forgetting something when I make Thanksgiving dinner. 
3. This year it was the rolls and whipped cream for the desert.
4. I also made cranberries three times. 
5. The first time I forgot a crucial ingredient: vinegar.
6. The second time I didn't have any fresh ginger left so that was strike one. 
7. And later I convinced myself that I'd forgotten the vinegar again, so I threw the second batch into the garbage only to learn from an eye witness that I had indeed added it.
8. The third batch had both fresh ginger and vinegar and was quite delicious with our leftovers.
9. My mashed potatoes were off the chart! 
10. It could be my heavy hand with the butter, but Yukon Golds are really creamy and the yellow tone goes nicely with butter. 
11. Butter, not margarine or earth balance, but real butter, is so damn good. 
12. Basically butter on anything rules.
13. For the record, I will continue to make the turkey for my family for Thanksgiving, but this year's boycott of eating any of it, (it was so fucking gross on so many levels), remains intact. 
14. I watched this movie and liked it much more than I expected.
15. I took advantage of a tiny discount on these leggings, which I love to wear with boots and long tunic-y tops or dresses. 
16. I'm hoping for cyber deals tomorrow. 
17. Hannukah is around the corner and the kid has her eye on new Ugg boots.
