seven

  1. Dark chocolate covered peanut M&M's.
  2. Booking motels for my road trip along the Oregon coast.
  3. Early morning photo shoots and hunting for colors for my 365 self portrait project,(February is gray).
  4. The kindness of friends who send secret surprises, (ok, it was film), when I least expected it and honestly, could use it the most.
  5. I finished reading Doctor Sleep, which was good, but not a favorite. (The Shining is pretty hard to compete with imo.) And it did the job of scaring me; I'd have to play a game of Free Cell if I found myself awake and reading in the middle of the night.
  6. Week six of the Brene Brown course shook my world with this statement: anger and rage are ways to numb because they're a blanket of comfort that pushes away any uncomfortable feelings or experiences. Woah.
  7. I got my hair cut, about 2.5 inches, and totally necessary as those inches were fried and brittle and were on their way to breaking off.
  8. I tried a new girl I found on Yelp. My original girl went on to TV hair and makeup and while she passed on an amazing colorist, she didn't have someone to cut my hair which is why it was fried.
  9. I often use Yelp because reviewers can be so mean and harsh on that website, (I'm so glad I'm not in the service industry in this social media age!!), I've found that the people and places that get a good review there are almost always spot on.
  10. I love the girl who surfs and cuts hair out of her home on her days off, which is very close to my home and makes getting regular haircuts more manageable.
  11. Spiritualized, last night, performing this album in its entirety, in this newly (re)opened space. And yes, it was epic.
