- Having a teenaged girl in the house assures me that I will rarely make a fashion blunder again.
- So as much as I love
feel obsessed with white clothing, comments like this, 'those sneakers look like golf shoes...' or this, 'no. that dress makes you like an old lady in a lab coat...' finished with a laugh-filled, 'yeah, your white clothing choices lately...' Girl keeps her mama in check.
- The perfect reminder that I can enjoy a lot of different fashions, but they don't always work for me.
- One of my biggest fears, (besides rattlesnakes), finally happened, even though since I was a kid I was told it wouldn't/couldn't/never would.
- A 6 foot great white shark bit a swimmer on Saturday morning, 100 yards off shore.
- In defense of the shark, (did I really just type that?!??), a fisherman hooked the shark, (and it's illegal to fish for sharks in CA), and dragged the agitated beast into a line of ocean swimmers who swim that same route everyday of the year.
- The beaches are closed right now, and this isn't the first sighting of great whites in the area. Some surfer said on the news he has seen at least 20 this year.
- I'm very glad I talked my girl out of doing ocean-swimming Junior Guards.
- I'm also glad she'll be on the east coast, swimming in a lake for three weeks.
- Surfing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking are all off any sort of list I had. If you want to go, I'll watch you from the shore.
- We cleaned out our garage and attempted to organize the storage room next to it.
- The girl needs teen hangout all her own, (I want our house to be a destination), and we want to have a simple home gym set-up.
- Remember when I joined the less expensive gym? Dude, you get what you pay for.
- Place is filthy with a capital F, the weights aren't ever racked and management does nothing, including responding to complaints.
- A waste of money. Meh.
