- It's almost the end of my second list. Round two will end while we're away so I thought I'd incorporate its ending into this week's list.
- And while there's quite a bit that I didn't do, I'm choosing to look at all of the things that I did accomplish.
- I'm looking forward to another round and will likely leave more items 'to be determined' instead of feeling forced to fill the line items.
- Me leaving town is why this week's list is early, (again), and next week's list will be late.
- We had another electrical incident in the wee hours of Monday morning, which I'm here to tell you is never a great time to be ripped awake from a deep sleep.
- This time lightning struck a transformer somewhere close by. There was a brief power outage and the surge afterwards, (I'm not even sure what that means), was strong enough to cause a number of very random, (and likely expensive), electrical things to fry.
- Luckily none are hazardous to the house, so no complaints here.
- I packed yesterday, two days early this time, and I have to say, having only errands the day before is the way to go!
- Historically the get-away day is a shit show around here and I encouraged the mister to pack yesterday as well, (which he did grudgingly), only to have him wake up this morning thankful that it was done.
- Me, actively working to reduce stress and situations that cause anxiety, is working!
- I still hate leaving our dog.
- I've packed every light-weight item I own and I don't have as much crap as I used to.
- I had to push to find clothes to pack for 10 days, (day and evening for 8 of them), and that made me happy to realize that I have reduced my belongings.
I will catch you all when I return. I hope your summer has been a good one so far! We've been blessed with great weather, (minus the above electrical and lightning storm), and we have nice vacations that we're taking this year.
