two

- This week was a bit rough for everyone here, getting back into the normal routine of work and school.
- My girl has her 7th grade science trip starting Monday and we've also been getting ready for that.
- We drop her at the bus tomorrow morning and we don't speak to her for the entire week, (sob).
- It's good practice for me because she's going to sleep away camp for three weeks this summer.
- Three weeks. And we can only talk once a week.
- It's good for me. I can start to get used to what it will be like when she's not around so much.
- And it's sobering to realize that as much as I say that I don't identify with my stay-at-home mom status, it's bullshit because clearly it is a big part of who I am.
- I'm glad to finally acknowledge that I like being a stay at home mom, especially with myself. (Damn wool pulled over my eyes for long enough.)
- Today is all about prepping for an early morning colonoscopy tomorrow.
- Today's prep includes a 24 hour fast.
- I'm a big pussy because it's only 10:40am and all I can think about is that I'm hungry and can't eat.
- Which is stupid because most days I haven't even eaten breakfast by this time, so now that I can't have anything I'm famished.
- Because of my family history, my MD is aggressive and what that translates to is this 24 hour fast and 3 bottles of this crap every two hours from 4-9pm.
- Trust me when I say I will be all cleaned out come 7am Monday morning.
- I'm glad I'm able to have this routine test and that I have an aggressive doctor.
- And there's a sick part of me that is happy to have such a thorough cleaning.
- Thinking it's not a bad start for the new year, all cleaned out, and with a little less weight.
- Vanity is a sin.
